Los Angeles singer-songwriter Josh Cumbee has released new single ‘Dancing, Just Distancing’. The Friday, September 17 release of the single was followed today (Thursday, September 23) by a lyric video.

HEN$HAW finds balance on new single ‘GIFT’
What started off as a spontaneous burst of creativity has turned into his most anticipated release since ‘LOWKEY’. 20-year-old London-based rapper HEN$HAW started writing lyrics to ‘GIFT’ as soon as his friend and frequent collaborator goodbye chase laid down melodies. The Camden rapper is at his very best as he showcases his sharp lyrical ability and razor-sharp flow over the aggressive bass-heavy production. Lyrically, he details finding the balance between being a young rockstar and somewhat a professional musician at the same time.

That’s in addition to making up half of acclaimed, primarily instrumental space-country duo “Steelism.” Clearly he’s had little trouble fitting in since moving from his native London to Music City by way of Detroit eight years ago, even if it’s mostly meant blending into the background. “I guess I’ve always hidden behind [the instrument],” he deadpans. “I’m always the guy who looks like he’s studying for a test in the background.”

I wanted an EP that really showcased my vocals and I was able to stretch myself on. This was that EP for me. I love the idea of an artist growing, morphing, shifting with each musical offering and I wanted to do that with this. The concept of the showgirl is a fascinating one to me — showgirls are traditionally women draped in gorgeous fabric and jewels, but what happens when you take a deeper look? What lies beneath that surface? I wanted to answer some of those questions and play with the duality of the colorful drama while nodding to my deeper authenticity.”
