Father John Misty’s live album Off-Key in Hamburg is now available via Bandcamp. All proceeds from the album will be donated to MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund. Off-Key in Hamburg was recorded live at the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie on August 8, 2019 with his long-time touring band, and the Neue Philharmonie Frankfurt.

Holy Hive “Float Back To You” Now / New ‘Broom’ Video
Homer Steinweiss, the Brooklyn based soul/funk drummer, always had a soft spot for folk music. Paul Spring, a young idealist folk singer traveling the country with his guitar, always had a beautiful falsetto in his back pocket. A family introduction would lead to Homer producing a few solo records of Paul’s, which would eventually lead to the creation of Holy Hive. The two enlisted Joe Harrison on bass and started out recording their first tunes as a group. A tour with soul legend Lee Fields would turn out to have an unexpected effect on their sound as they played their material to crowds of soul fanatics looking to dance. It was this realization that forced the next step in their evolution and gave birth to a sound unique to Holy Hive, a sound that walks a line so perfectly it necessitated a new genre, Folk Soul.

Since bands can’t go city to city during these difficult and separated times, Allman will change themes from show to show to keep it unique. “One night will be cover songs, one night originals, one night Q&A live, one night special guests, one night request hour, etc” said Allman.

Pandora Launches Top Live Songs Station
As we all continue to navigate and respond to this new reality, one of the things a lot of us music fans are already missing is live music. In the absence of those experiences, and until we can all get out and support our favorite artists in person again, Pandora has programmed a brand new station that features a ranking of its top 100 streamed live tracks of all time.
Pandora’s Top Live Songs station is led by Fleetwood Mac with a live version of Stevie Nicks’ classic “Landslide.” John Mayer features prominently on the list with the most entries (8) and also has the top cover version with his rendition of Tom Petty’s “Free Fallin” (#4).
