During their July 4th show in Germany, Metallica paid tribute to the late Michael Jackson. The group played a snippet of “Beat It” before going into a cover of Queen’s song “Stone Cold Crazy.” Singer James Hetfield also told the crowd that “Beat It” features “a main influence” on guitarist Kirk Hammett’s playing.
