Things kicks off with the heartbreak and lament of ‘Because Of Her’, before delving into the mental health-addressing honesty of ‘Blessings’. The sultry ‘Do You Right’, one of two tracks from the EP already released as singles, then sees Just Charlii’s eye-catching vocals take centre stage amidst a flurry of mutated vocal samples, twitchy snares and sparse drums. The other single, ‘Take Note’, is the record’s final track and an ultra-smooth conclusion to an accomplished collection of work.

ZAALWE debuts wistful new track “Lakeside” | Debut EP out August 27th
The track premiered via Impose Magazine where ZAALWE detailed, “‘Lakeside’ is an ode to a breakup that coincidentally happened the day of the solar eclipse in August of 2017. The whole sunny and groovy 70’s sounding timbre was definitely inspired by songwriter Laura Nyro, who I got particularly into when I had recently learned that she lived on the same road I grew up on.”

Chris Ahlman announces the international release of the track “Rolling On The Wind”
San Francisco based indie rocker Chris Ahlman has released his track “Rollin On The Wind’ Internationally. Having played over 100 shows so far this year Chris noted that wherever he played this track instantly builds a connection with his audience.
This folksy indie song was written in memory of Michael’s friend who sadly lost his battle with mental health, as the songwriter says: “It shocked me how much we wear masks every day & how hard it is to see what is bubbling away underneath. Most of the time I feel that this song is not my song to sing, but then I remember the solution of all this is to talk more openly and be prepared to share our inner demons with friends and loved ones.
