Mark Witt’s long-awaited EP has finally arrived as ‘Infinity Smile’ will delight audiences everywhere. This record comes 15 years after the release of his previous EP’s titled ‘Leave It Alone’ and ‘Loose Associations’. The love of music never wavered for Mark Witt during his hiatus and so now ‘Infinity Smile’ is born and will live on forever.
This EP was created in Mark’s home studio in Richmond, VA and that is where all the magic happened. With the help of the talented Dan-O Deckleman who mixed and mastered the record, ‘Infinity Smile’ shows Mark Witt reinventing himself as an artist. Mark Witt can be heard experimenting with many different sounds & elements on the new EP, which makes for a refreshing listening experience. There are five Indie rock tracks on ‘Infinity Smile’ and each number has its own distinct feel. With varying tempos & themes, this EP will have you smiling from beginning to end!
We kick things off with the title track, “Infinity Smile”, and right away a bold texture and big, rich sound is being produced. “Infinity Smile” contains a memorable hook and very catchy riffs that makes for one crowd-pleasing set. Next, get ready to swallow a heavy dose of raw, indie energy on “National Throat”. With a striking rhythm and pronounced vocals in place, there is absolutely nothing sore about this “National Throat”. Track three, “Words vs. World”, speaks volumes and lights up your eardrums from start to finish. Mark Witt delivers a strong performance on “Words vs. World” that has a solid beat and appealing sound overall. We now step into a musical ring where “That Kind of Boxer” is punching you with trippy notes and connecting with unique jabs. Mark decides to go out on a lighter yet powerful note with “Black Marker Instead”. A delicate touch and easy-going style finishes things off nicely on the closing song “Black Marker Instead”.
