Midwest Dilemma with ‘Searching for the Cure for Loneliness’

Midwest Dilemma with ‘Searching for the Cure for Loneliness’

I’m pretty sure Midwest Dilemma has not found the exact cure for loneliness, BUT I can definitively say that Midwest Dilemma has delivered original music in its purest form. Fronted by singer/songwriter Justin Lamoureux, ‘Searching for the Cure for Loneliness’ is one for the ages. With a unique style intact and a one-of-a-kind sound, Midwest Dilemma is making a lot of productive noise with the new release.

‘Searching for the Cure for Loneliness’ embodies originality at its finest with 11 genre-bending songs on the album. With elements of folk, country, pop, Americana and everything else under the sun, Midwest Dilemma delivers an incredible performance on the new record. There are themes of life’s battles along with fun-filled adventure allowing your mind to race and your ears to dance. Equipped with over 20 talented musicians on this album, ‘Searching for the Cure for Loneliness’ will not disappoint.

An interesting “Intro” kicks things off where one will hear an intriguing melody that captures your attention right away. Next, on “Old Screen”, the vocals & instrumentation grabs you immediately with a draggy melody that is the perfect pace. The title track is up next and “Searching for the Cure for Loneliness” provides an old-fashioned feel that collides with a fresh, up-to-date vibe. “Searching for the Cure for Loneliness” is an extremely catchy number with lyrics & vocals that stand tall and speak volumes. Track four, “The 49’r”, supplies thought-provoking words and an overall style that moves you and captivates you. If you’re searching for words that stand out in a crowd, then look no further than “Dreaming of the Coast”. The listener will be transported to a world where warm, cool and refreshing waters surround your ears and soul on “Dreaming of the Coast”.

Be sure to SKOPE out the official lyric video for “Dreaming of the Coast” right here:

Midwest Dilemma has created quite an impactful song with “Dreaming of the Coast” where meaning, purpose & heart all meet. Prepare for an enticing beat on “So Well” that satisfies your musical palette from top to bottom. This song has major appeal and is “So Well” done to the point your ears will be thanking you. It is now time to head to the “Appalachian Mountains” where a calming breeze rushes over your ears and heavy substance hits you with a deep, sentimental value in play. It’s time to head into a cooler zone where the audible weather is crisp ‘n’ clean, so enjoy this musical stroll through “Winter Park”. Prepare for a ride in this “Stolen Car” next, figuratively of course, where Midwest Dilemma is pulling out all the stops. “Stolen Car” offers hard-hitting material that crashes into your eardrums in the matter of seconds. By the end “Scattered Leaves” are falling all around you as the music takes you over and takes you to a special place. Go ahead and do a little daydreaming and escape to the memories that are “Scattered Leaves”.

Midwest Dilemma has had songs charting on radio stations all over the country and the band has shared the stage with the likes of: Lord Huron, Conor Oberst, Blind Pilot, Langhorne Slim, Counting Crows and others. I am highly impressed with the overall album as Midwest Dilemma proves to be a dynamic force. The time has come to embark on a mission of organic truth as we are all ‘Searching for the Cure for Loneliness’. Midwest Dilemma invites everyone to enjoy the journey and to make it a listening experience you won’t soon forget.
