Investor Serhiy Tokarev About French Freelance Platform Jump
Roosh Ventures has announced its investment in the French freelance platform Jump. This was announced by Serhiy Tokarev, the co-founder of Roosh investment group. Tokarev expressed his excitement about the deal on LinkedIn. He stated, “Thrilled to announce that Roosh Ventures is backing Jump, a platform that’s changing the game for freelancers.” The investment represents another step in Roosh Ventures’ strategy to back promising tech startups, particularly in fields that align with their focus areas.
Jump, founded in 2021 by Nicolas Fayon, Thibault Coulon, and Maxime Bouchet, is a comprehensive platform that seeks to make freelancing easier and more accessible. It provides a range of services traditionally available only to employees, such as social security, corporate health insurance, and savings programs. Freelancers using Jump benefit from an efficient system that handles payroll, accounting, and other essential administrative tasks. These services allow freelancers to concentrate on their core work while enjoying income stability, access to credit, and medical insurance services.
Serhiy Tokarev shared his thoughts on why Roosh Ventures chose to invest in Jump. He emphasized that the platform offers a complete solution for freelancers, addressing many of the challenges that independent professionals face. “Jump handles all the tough stuff—payroll, accounting, benefits—so freelancers can focus on what they do best. It’s a complete solution, and that’s why we’re excited to be part of their journey,” said Tokarev. He also highlighted the collaboration with other investors such as Breega, Index Ventures, and Raise Ventures, who are all backing Jump’s plans for growth. According to Tokarev, Roosh Ventures is excited to help Jump expand beyond France and reach a global audience of freelancers.
The total amount of Roosh’s investment has not been disclosed. However, the French startup has managed to raise €11 million in its Series A funding round. These funds will be used to scale the business in France, the UK, and other European countries. Additionally, Jump has plans to double its workforce by the end of the year in order to broaden its appeal, particularly to millennial and Gen Z freelancers. The company has already attracted nearly 2,000 freelancers, generating an annual turnover of €150 million.
Roosh Ventures is known for its innovative approach to investments. The company invests in tech startups from the Pre-seed to Series A stages, and instead of forming traditional funds with long lifespans, Roosh reinvests earnings from successful deals. The company is headquartered in Kyiv, Ukraine, with additional offices in Paris and London. Roosh’s primary focus is on sectors like AI/ML, Gaming, Fintech, Consumer & Entertainment Apps, and Marketing & AdTech. The company provides more than just capital; it also offers strategic guidance, operational support, and expertise in cost-effective development and business scaling.
Roosh Ventures has invested in over 40 startups, including well-known companies such as Deel, TheGuarantors, Oura, Pipe, and Alma. Serhiy Tokarev’s vision for Roosh Ventures involves building a strong foundation for the next generation of tech startups, focusing on profitability and long-term success. By supporting companies like Jump, Tokarev and Roosh Ventures aim to empower innovative solutions that address real-world challenges.
