The buildups in this song are unforgettable. In the first buildup, the upscale piano melody, powerhouse vocals, and the synth bed with the energetic snare rolls make one hear the euphoric feeling of being infatuated with someone. The buildups, which she expresses as the intense rush of adrenaline, swiftly transform into downward chromatic scales and thirds which express how quickly an intense feeling could turn into heartache from being utterly rejected.
