Lucius releases new single ‘heartburts’

In January, Lucius announced that they would drop their first album since 2016 April. The album was produced by Dave Cobb and Brandi Carlile, and it features the new single “Next to Normal.” The band have also announced a tour that includes dates with Brandi Carlile while the fans of best au online casino sites will be present.

The album, recorded at Nashville’s storied RCA Studio A, features contributions from Drew Erickson, Rob Moose, and Gabriel Cabezas, plus backing vocals from Carlile and Sheryl Crow. The album arrives after the band’s recent collaboration with the War on Drugs.

“It is a record that begs you not to sit in the difficult moments, but to dance through them,” Lucius’ Jess Wolfe said of Second Nature in a statement. “It touches upon all these stages of grief—and some of that is breakthrough, by the way. Being able to have the full spectrum of the experience that we have had, or that I’ve had in my divorce, or that we had in lockdown, having our careers come to a halt, so to speak. I think you can really hear and feel the spectrum of emotion and hopefully find the joy in the darkness. It does exist. That’s why we made Second Nature and why we wanted it to sound the way it did: our focus was on dancing our way through the darkness.”

However, the band have given fans a glimpse of what to expect with a new single titled “Heartbursts”. The song trails “Next To Normal” and “White Lies”.

“Heartbursts” is a synthy, upbeat track that seems likely to appear in at least one prominent TV commercial before the year ends. The track’s got a flashy video from director Teresa “Toogie” Barcelo.

The clip tells the story of a bunch of random strangers at a swap meet who all start dancing together and who all have some kind of transcendent experience. Wolfe and Laessig get in on the choreography and best online casino usa users will love the story.

Jess Wolfe says of the song and video, “We’ve been wanting to work with Toogie for years after seeing her dynamic work with a diverse cast of artists from Perfume Genius to Dua Lipa. Because the song is about finding your joy and tapping into it, we thought what better way to emphasise that than with a group of people in their everyday life moments, breaking out with movement. We really wanted the video to convey the way the song feels when we hear it, and as a team, it really came to life.”

Second Nature is produced by Dave Cobb and Brandi Carlile, and will follow their 2018 album Nudes. It was recorded at Nashville’s RCA Studio A and includes additional contributions from Carlile, Sheryl Crow, Drew Erickson, Rob Moose and Gabriel Cabezas.
