Mr. Carnivore Got Trolled By 2020

2020 has been a bummer for everyone and Mr. Carnivore is no exception. At the beginning of the year, the band was gearing up to launch a crowdfunding campaign to help complete a five-song release. They had already recorded the first song at Somewhere Studios and things were feeling good. Then whammy, the world shut down. Out of an abundance of caution, the group decided to lay low until things calmed down.

“Fast forward nine months and we are still in the thick of it,” lead singer Pat LaGuardia says. “Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Having to be apart from the band, not playing shows or recording music has been really hard.” In hopes of getting Mr. Carnivore jump started again, they decided to release the song “Troll” that they recorded at the beginning of the year. The release will kick off a series of recordings the band plans to undertake in-house.

Joe LaGuardia (bass) says, “Not sure what the release plan is for everything, but we have a lot of music that isn’t recorded, so we’re just going to do it all and see what happens.” Needless to say, Mr. Carnivore has been quiet, they are certainly not gone. Stay tuned for “Troll” and more at the end of 2020 and going into the new year.

Troll was released on Spotify, Apple Music & more on December 18th, 2020.
