Ashley Johnson, better known as Ash Ca$h, started singing at the age of five, and discovered her song writing abilities at thirteen.
The new single “WHY” is Ash Ca$h’s way to pay tribute to cancer awareness and honor those families who are affected.

Her inspiration to write the song “WHY” came about in the bedroom where Ashley presently lives. Ashley and her first love moved into their Chicago North Side apartment together just about one year before he tragically passed away from cancer. When writing “WHY”, her thoughts always went back to the great times they had together.
Ash Ca$h is currently signed to the Chicago based, independent record label Smash Town Records.
