The video was conceived and produced by the Italian creative duo Era Ora Ivana Gloria during a recent sojourn to Brooklyn. The Milan-based creatives set out to cinematically recreate an outlandish party they’d attended in one of NYC’s many houses of thrillingly ill repute. Culling a cast of non-actors from their community, like Wolkoff’s longtime muse/live show choreographer Ken Peyser and a food designer designated with dressing a table with the most vibrant, inedible delicacies possible, Eva Ora Ivana Gloria bring you a vivid, NSFW visual story to explore the gripping and often painful process of learning where we don’t belong, and having the courage to investigate where we do.
“The Homecoming” was the first single we shared from Wolkoff’s debut album Without Shame, followed closely by the similarly electrifying track, “Kings Highway” (SoundCloud). The album was produced by Icarus Moth, and engineered by the GRAMMY-award winning Ariel Borujow (Kanye West, Madonna, Notorious BIG). Wolkoff is also hitting the road w/ Jesse R. Berlin next week in support of the album (dates below), which I would highly, highly recommend if you’re able to make it out.
