Now in their early twenties, their efforts came to fruition when they released their single “Division” under the name Fiancé, mid-2013. “Division” quickly gained the attention on the blogosphere as well as drummer Brian Bruce who was living in the area. Brian soon joined Fiancé as they continued to formulate and hone in on their dream-pop sound. Similarities can be drawn between other artists of the genre including Diiv, The Smiths and Wild Nothing. The band is influenced by a wide array of music including classic R&B artists, the atmosphere of home recordings, relationships and mid-Atlantic seasonality. Their attention is drawn to musical artists that have the capability of adding soul and emotion to their music. Fiancé will release their debut EP this spring!
