Roy Williams, known by his stage name KO-P, is a 20 year old Bronx native. Following in his uncle’s footsteps, whom he idolized, KO-P began persuing his dreams of becoming a rapper at the early age of 7. For the four years that followed, KO-P engaged in several freestyles with his close relatives in order to prepare for the day that he would feel good enough to perform in front of his greatest inspirer; his uncle. That day never came. At the age of 11, KO-P’s uncle was murdered, and wasn’t given the chance to see his nephew perform. To this day, KO-P’s uncle remains his greatest influence. Taking the tragedy and unfulfilled promises surrounding his uncle’s death, KO-P has decided to never again hide his talents–striving towards the goal of letting the world see what he is made of.
