Built on a laid back, southern fried beat, G and Q deliver an ode to southern women, flipping the “G.R.I.T.S.” acronym to mean “Girls Raised In The South.” “We wanted to create an anthem for southern women, with a little southern flavor” says G. “Something they could be proud of when they hear it.” Chalie Boy pops up on the track’s chorus, his smooth vocals tying everything together. “Chalie Boy delivered the hook in a way that only he could,” says Q. “He really made the song feel like a dedication, which is what the song needed.”
