A graceful songwriter of heart and breadth, Mirah makes exquisite music that shines light into the dark spaces of worlds and souls. Her songs swing from intimate confessions of love found and lost to vivid, compassionate allegories of life on the brink of catastrophe. She’s as rambunctious as she is sweet: Pitchfork has praised her “incredible voice–a versatile coo that can flit from low, sultry tones to high, airy falsetto in one breath.” Originally rooted in the vibrant DIY scene of the Pacific Northwest, Mirah’s music over the years has drawn on sources from jazz and afrobeat to the auto-tuned dance anthem, and has taken her to Europe, Japan, Australia, and beyond. In between projects currently, Mirah has announced a run of upcoming East Coast tour dates in November, including a 11/15 Joe’s Pub date in New York as well as a handful of dates with Mount Moriah.
