Irish indie roots rockers Glimmermen trace their name back to a time in Dublin’s history when gas workers known as “glimmer men” lit gas street lamps by hand. The trio is leaving Dublin at the end of October to record their debut full-length album with producer J. Robbins (Jawbox, Against Me!, Engine Down) at his new Magpie Cage Studios in Baltimore, MD. The as-yet-untitled album is scheduled for release in March.
Robbins recently relocated his studio to the site of the former Oz Recording Studios, which gave life to many great albums including much of Girls Against Boys’ catalog, Shudder to Think
