Olya “Independ-a-nt”:
In March 2000, Olya’s family moved to America. Her musical aspirations were put aside: she was too busy diving into textbooks with a dictionary on her lap, working two part-time jobs, enviously staring at the quiet shadow of her guitar resting in the corner – the only reminder of her life in Moscow. Finally, after graduating from Boston University, Olya moved to New York. That was the time when she first tried to express herself in rhymes and sounds and wrote her first song.
