It’s a story heard all too often: touring bands having property stolen while out on the road. Less than a few hours into their journey, and fresh off a flight from Calgary, newstyle prog-rock trio Raleigh were the targets of a van break-in before their first show at Toronto’s Tranzac Club.
Stolen items include a MacBook Air, a MacBook Pro, a digital camera, a passport belonging to drummer Matt Doherty, 25 CDs of the bands latest album New Times In Black and White, two backpacks (leaving Brock with only the clothes he was wearing at the time), and most devastatingly a valued tour diary containing stories and memories along with the names of friends, bands and venues spanning the last four years.
Onwards and upwards, the band is en route back to Alberta where they’ll play select dates including a hometown show celebrating their independent album release. Western Canadian tour dates in the works.
Raleigh is Brock Geiger (guitar/vocals), Clea Anaïs (cello/piano/vocals), and Matt Doherty (drums).
