18 years after going their separate ways, the original four members of The Blow Monkeys; Dr Robert, Mick Anker, Tony Kiley and Neville Henry are reunited.
Formed in 1981 the band made their recorded debut on the tiny independent imprint, Parasol, in January 1982 and supported its release with extensive gigging in London, eventually securing a residency at the dearly departed Moonlight Club in Hampstead. The band’s idiosyncratic pop songs secured a record deal with RCA, inked in July 1983. The Blow Monkeys debut LP ‘Limping For A Generation’ was released the following year, produced by Jam/Style Council sound manicurist Pete Wilson.
The Blow Monkeys have just completed a 22 UK tour culminating with a night at London’s legendary 100 Club which was filmed for DVD release in 2009. The band are now set for festival dates in the UK, Australia, Japan, Germany, Spain and Norway.
