MIKE JONES’ CLEARANCE ISSUES WITH T-PAIN

During an interview with VladTV, Mike Jones explained the clearance dilemma he had with T-Pain and Lil Wayne for the song “Cuddy Buddy.” The track was first leaked back in 2006 with both Pain and Weezy on the it; however when it was time to release it officially, Wayne’s camp didn’t allow it. Jones understands that sometimes it’s outside of the artist’s hands. T-Pain, on the other hand, did not get back to Jones — even though the rapper previously did a verse on Teddy’s “I’m In Love With A Stripper.” Fortunately, “Cuddy Buddy” debuted at number eight on the Billboard charts. Trey Songz and Twista were added to the revamped track in place of Wayne and T-Pain.
