There’s been a lot of speculation going on about MIMS. Seems folks are doubting that the rapper grew up in the Washington Heights section of New York City. Bloggers claim MIMS is from Westbury, Long Island and “nobody shows him any love” there. The “Move (If You Wanna)” emcee is now addressing the rumors. MIMS explained to BallerStatus.com, “I’m from Washington Heights. I was born and raised in Manhattan, New York on 164 between Broadway and Fort Washington, that was my block.” He added, “I moved away when I was 16 or 17 years old. If you want to go to that block and ask anybody about me — go ahead I welcome you to.” The rapper’s Guilt album is in stores now.
