The Dave Matthews Band’s latest album, Big Whiskey and the Groogrux King, hits shelves on June 2nd. The new work is a tribute to sax player and founding member LeRoi Moore, who passed away last year from complications from injuries that he suffered in an ATV accident. Frontman Dave Matthews spoke to Billboard.com about the upcoming effort, saying that even though times were tough after LeRoi passed, they spent time listening to his music and being grateful for the time they had together. Moore’s work will be heard on the album, as the band used horn parts that he recorded before his passing. Tomorrow, DMB will be hitting the road. Their 2009 tour kicks off at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
