2008 was a good year for classic rockers. According to figures from the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry, AC/DC had the second best selling album around the world last year with Black Ice. While Coldplay’s Viva La Vida took the top spot, Metallica’s Death Magnetic came in fourth and Guns N’ Roses snagged the 14 spot with Chinese Democracy. Other CDs that sold well were the soundtrack to the film Mamma Mia! and the debut album from singer Duffy.
