funeral_phixr.jpgFUNERAL FOR A FRIEND has announced that they will be touring the U.S. this January / February 2009, in support of new album Memory And Humanity, released on 28th October 2008.

Support comes from Victory Records’ THE SLEEPING, with more acts to be announced shortly.

Formed in a small town called Bridgend in Wales in 2001, the band built their fanbase from grass roots, working their way into the hearts of rock fans with the release of their debut Casually Dressed And Deep In Conversation, winning awards and becoming magazine cover stars. Following the release of 7 Ways to Scream Your Name, a compilation of the band’s first two EP’s, the band made their album debut in the U.S. 2005 with the release of Hours on Atlantic Records, gaining critical acclaim in SPIN, REVOLVER, BLENDER and ALTERNATIVE PRESS, following up with Tales Don’t Tell Themselves in 2007, which debuted at number 3 in the UK album charts.
