icet.jpgLongtime veteran of the Gangsta Rap battles for supremacy and respect, Ice-T has never been one for holding back; especially when it’s about what drives him forward; Rap music.

Riding strong on the recent release of his album, Urban Legends, in partnership with Black Silver, the always outspoken Ice-T lays out his charges against radio hip-hopper Soulja Boy.
On the free internet release, “DJ Cisco’s Urban Legends Mixtape”, out today, Ice says Soulja Boy has, “single-handedly killed hip-hop”.   The Cop Killer vet digs hard into the latest radio-rapper for embarrassing the OG’s that came to the scene in “khakis and straps”, challenging superman Soulja Boy to “man up” for the music!
Calling back to those early days of Rap, Ice-T and Black Silver brought 20-year music vet DJ Cisco, from Chicago’s Southside, on to the project to blend the perfect party “tape” the old school way. For ultimate effect, DJ Cisco has embedded Ice’s advice to the younger, hip-hopper into his classic song, “Pulse of the Rhyme”.
From South Central L.A., Ice-T collaborated with longtime crew member Black Silver for this latest venture, Urban Legends.   Working under the moniker BLACK ICE, the album features cameos from seasoned vets Too $hort, RBX, Aceyalone, Marc Live and Tash of Tha Alkaholiks, as well as respected up-and-comers Fedie Demarco, Act!on, Griffen, Faxx, Main Flow and E-Rule.
