Jukebox the Ghost Extend Tour Debut Record Out This Spring

D.C. trio, Jukebox the Ghost, have announced additional tour dates through the Spring, including shows with Nightmare of You and XYZ Affair.   The band, whose infectious energy has been known to captivate many an audience, will be playing tracks from their debut album Let Live and Let Ghosts (Rebel Group/This Side Up). Jukebox the Ghost have already been on the road for much of the year, and the new dates will follow a successful SXSW with shows alongside such artists as Georgie James, A Place to Bury Strangers and Shout Out Louds.
Let Live and Let Ghost showcases the trio’s inventive songwriting. Classically-trained pianist, Ben Thornwell (piano/vocals/keys) has a knack for wordplay, while guitarist and co-vocalist Tommy Siegel’s quirky lyrics shine on the three part musical narrative “Fire in the Sky”/”Where Are All the Scientists Now”/”A Matter of Time,” as he pokes fun at the concept of a looming apocalypse.   A unique aspect of Jukebox the Ghost’s songs is the absence of a bass line, but drummer Jesse Kristin holds down the rhythm section and keeps audience’s toes tapping.
