Platinum-selling Canadian folk, rockers Great Big Sea continue their U.S. Tour into 2010 with a performance at Tupelo Music Hall in Salisbury on Friday, April 23.
The group marries the traditional sounds of New Foundland influenced by the Irish and English with a modern rock/pop spin. In 2008, the group released Fortune's Favour, a collection of songs "tethered to the band's musical past" with some traditional instrumentation (pennywhistle, banjo) but with "a great big (no pun) rock 'n' roll feel." (- Pittsburgh Tribune Review)
Returning to the studio this winter, Great Big Sea will road test a few of the new songs before putting the finishing touches on their tenth release due later this year. - CONAN O'BRIEN: BY OVERWHELMING DEMAND - 2 BOSTON SHOWS - JUNE 4 & 5
Jun 4, 2010
Citi Performing Arts Center Wang Theatre and Live Nation are proud to welcome Conan O’Brien to the stage on Friday, June 4 at 8pm and Saturday, June 5 at 8pm. Conan O’Brien will headline a live comedy/music revue that begins a two-month, 30-city tour on April 12th.
The aptly titled “Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television” tour kicks off in Eugene, Oregon, and will take Conan and a cast that will include longtime sidekick Andy Richter and the former Tonight Show band to theaters in at least 20 states and two Canadian provinces. It promises to be a night of music, comedy, hugging, and the occasional awkward silence. American Express is sponsoring the tour and tickets are available now at www.TeamCoco.com http://www.teamcoco.com/ and www.citicenter.org http://www.citicenter.org/.
