My next guest is a female singer/songwriter that I have alot of respect for. Coming out of Brooklyn, NY is Susan Elizabeth. I caught wind of Susan after listening to her album, ‘Wine & Cigarettes’ which came out last year. Susan has lived more in her young years and has gone through more than most and her songs show that. From songs like “I’m In Love With Your Girlfriend” to “The Exitement Before” Susan keeps you guessing. Pour a glass of Merlot and join me as I speak with ome of the sweetest voices in music today.

My guest this week is a man of many trades by the name of Leigh Sutherland. By day he is in the adventure tourism business and by night he is an up and coming musician. I caught wind of Leigh after a copy of his new EP, ‘Nature’s Stage’ ended up in my mailbox. What I heard was four catchy songs that left me yearning for more so I had to have Leigh Sutherland on to let Skope readers become familiar with his music as well. Leigh also had me post an MP3 of his song “Braided” to take with you!

We all need a little upbeat music to get us going this morning. I have just the song from a musician by the name of Efe Cimrin. Efe just released his new single “Strangers” and it is a hit. The upbeat tempo, smooth vocals, and dance influence make this track a sure hit in I-Pods and the clubs. My next guest is not only an amazing musician, he is a wonderful person as well. William Funk put out an album last year called, ‘The Veronica Sessions.’ He has sold thousands of copies independently and has decided to donate all proceeds to Generation Resuce. William’s good friend’s son was diagnosed with Autism and since then William has been devoting himself and his music to the fight against Autism. Join us this week as we see what’s up with William Funk and raise awareness as well!

Most people will not associate New England as a major hub for country music. But that does not mean there are not any quality country musicians here. My guest this week started out as an infantry officer in the US Army. After serving, Ted started playing in local open mics and before long he was opening up for Collin Raye & Buddy Jewell. This is a perfect week to get Ted Painter to come hang out as he just released a new CD, ‘Keepin’ It Real.’ With songs like, “I Wanna See You Naked” and “Drink A Lot” it’s safe to say we are in for a good time!

This week we have a band coming out of Washngton state by the name of Sideways Reign. I caught wind of these guys after being told of their first nationwide tour that they are kicking off this week. Sideways Reign will be playing venues from San Francisco to NYC meeting up with old fans and making new ones along the way. I have also been taken back by the lead singer, Justin Stang, who is not only very talented but a great guy as well. This week we are getting to know a real rock musician coming out of Amsterdam by the name of Jes Falcon. I caught wind of Jes after a Skope staffer handed over his new album, ‘Purest Falcon’ to me. Not only is his music real but his image is as real as it gets. What I like about Jes is that he is who he is and does not sugarcoat anything for anybody. Join us this week as we talk with Jes Falcon about recording the album, the “shy-evil” logo, things to do in Amtersdam besides smoking, and much more!
