STOLI HEARS ADRIAN EMBERLEY AND LOVES IT
June 22, 2009
My next guest is a female musician by the name of Adrian Emberley. There is so much that I like about her that we had to get her on ‘Skoped Out.’ First of all she is a product of Berklee College of Music here in Boston. She also put out an EP last year named, ‘LOVE’ that I cannot stop listening to. Adrian was gracious enough to give our readers a deeper look into her life & music.
TELLING ON TRIXIE INTRODUCES STOLI TO FANSOURCING
June 10, 2009
As many bands know it costs alot of money to properly record, distribute, and market a new album. My next guests did not go to a major label or venture capitalist to get the money to record, they went to their fans. Telling On Trixie is a NYC based band that raised thousands of dollars and gave their fans a music experience that gets them involved in a manner not seen before. Read on as Derek Nicoletto of Telling On Trixie explains this revolutionary idea in which they created the new album ‘Ugly, Broke, & Sober.’
STOLI FINDS THAT KID KAMAKAZI IS A “CLUTCH SHOOTER”
May 22, 2009
Alot of people talk a big game but when it comes times to show & prove it is another story. My next guest is fresh from Los Angeles, CA named Kid Kamakazi. Kid Kamakazi is young but he hustles like it’s do or die. At first you think he is just an emcee but his music takes on various genres. I got hooked after hearing his joint, “Fly Like I” feat Mistah Fab. Now, Kid Kamakazi is releasing his new single “Clutch Shooter” via I Tunes and things are about to go down, so lets get into it!
STOLI GETS AN EARFUL FROM PARACHUTE / MP3
May 18, 2009
We have been excited all week to unleash this interview with Mercury Records band, Parachute. We sent over a Q&A for them to answer and Will Anderson took it one step further. Will answered all our questions and placed them on MP3 for all to download & enjoy.
STOLI MEETS THE ONE MAN BAND NAMED BAILEY
May 11, 2009
My nexy guest is a one man band and he proves that on his album, ‘Burden The Hand.’ Bailey is from Los Angeles by way of Ohio. He spent the better part of 2008 recording ‘Burden The Hand’ in his Hollywood apartment. Bailey went without a band as he played all the instruments from guitar, harmonica, keys and percussion. He also got Ted Greenberg to master the EP. It is a breath of fresh air talking with a musician like Bailey who does not do music for fame or fortune but because it is in his soul.
LIVVI FRANC TEACHES STOLI HOW THEY DO IT IN BARBADOS
May 5, 2009
My next guest is a 21 year old named Livvi Franc. Livvi is a musician who was born in North Yorkshire, UK but grew up in Barbados. Livvi got her break when a friend of hers was babysitting for a music industry insider in Barbados. Livvi made a demo which would lead her to a deal with Jive Records. Livvi is turning heads with her single, “Free” which is an appetizer for the album coming this year. Join us as Livvi offers a glimpse into her reality.
STOLI GAINS HOPE AFTER INTERVIEWING THE VEER UNION
April 27, 2009
My next guests are a five piece band that originated in Port Alberni, BC. What started out as a two person band quickly grew to five. Almost five years later The Veer Union have arrived. The guys have secured a deal with Universal/Motown Records and have toured enough to last a lifetime. Their debut album, ‘Against The Grain’ is out now and it’s a keeper. The Veer Union were cool enough to take a break from the music life and let Skope know what’s really going on with them.
STOLI CHATS WITH THIS BLUE HEAVEN AS THEY PREP FOR BOSTON SHOW
April 21, 2009
These next guests are a local Boston favorite band by the name of This Blue Heaven. They have played in just about every respected live music venue from NYC, Boston & New England. The exciting thing about this group is that they have just released a new full length ‘Quicksandglass’ and they are having a huge release party this Saturday night (4/25/09) at The Paradise Rock Club in Boston, MA. I am a fan of This Blue Heaven & will be at the show so I figured what a perfect time to have them on Skoped out!
STOLI GETS UP CLOSE & PERSONAL WITH JESSIE JAMES
April 17, 2009
My next guest could have easily gone into modeling or acting. But, thankfully music is her calling so I get to chat with Jessie James. At 20 years old Jessie has a record deal with Mercury Records/Island Def Jam. She emerged on the scene with her catchy single, “Wanted.” Jessie has been busy working on her debut album but she was cool enough to talk with us about dating, getting signed, having her face licked in the morning, and much more!
