Depeche Mode Release 14th Studio Album ‘SPIRIT’

Iconic, multi-platinum selling musical pioneers Depeche Mode have released their 14th studio album, Spirit, globally today via Columbia Records. The album, available both digitally and physically, has delighted fans and critics alike, with USA Today proclaiming, “Depeche Mode is back with its timeliest work yet” and Entertainment Weekly naming Spirit an official music pick.

Spirit is available as a standard 12 track album. Saint Motel has revealed its fourth 360° Interactive Virtualizer Video for “Sweet Talk” as part of YouTube’s star-studded SXSW programming featuring hitmakers and innovators such as Solange, Rae Sremmurd, Migos, Lil Yachty and more.

The new “Sweet Talk” Virtualizer is one of four Saint Motel VR videos featured by YouTube at SXSW. It appears alongside the three previously revealed saintmotelevision virtualizer videos (“Move”, “Born Again”, “You Can Be You”) plus and additional VR/360° videos as part of the music and technology event. Fans in Austin were invited to don VR goggles and experience the technology in real time, while Saint Motel shared the video with fans via YouTube’s Livestream App as part of last night’s premiere.

The Whistles & the Bells, alt-rock moniker of acclaimed singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Bryan Simpson, will release his sophomore LP Modern Plagues via New West Records on April 28. The Huffington Post premiered the “inventive” official music video for album track “Good Drugs” yesterday. Produced by Joshua Britt and Neilson Hubbard’s film company Neighborhoods Apart, the video shows Simpson as an infomercial salesman and late night TV swindler who is promising a quick-fix for depressed viewers. The Huffington Post states, “[Simpson’s] original off-the-wall undertakings are reminiscent of the whimsical and whip-smart work by David Byrne, Jim James and the Decemberists’ Colin Meloy,” adding, “The lyrics will make you think until your head explodes…Enjoy the video but consider this a fair warning: You might get hooked.”

Bassnectar & ATLiens drop “Interlock” on OWSLA

Bassnectar & ATLiens have teamed up for their new track “Interlock”, out now via OWSLA. The song originally premiered during Lorin’s takeover of Insomniac’s Night Owl Radio, and fans have been eagerly awaiting a release ever since. It’s been a staple in ATLiens and Bassnectar live sets across the nation, including performances at the Aspen X-Games and EDC Orlando. Lee Foss and Lee Curtiss Release “Living In The City” Ahead of Alchemy

Paving the way for Lee Foss’s upcoming debut full length Alchemy is “Living In The City” Leaning heavily on analog synths and drum machines, “Living In The City” features vocals from first time collaborator Spencer Nezey and is a prime example of what’s to come from Alchemy next month. The track takes the listener on a aural journey through a night out in the city and reminds them of the moments that make up a good night out. After Curtiss dropped a synth-drenched remix of Foss’ “The Gift” last summer, this song marks the first official collaboration between the two Lees and it’s as funky and melodic as we have come to expect from both producers over the years. Drawing significance from the association with spiritual awakening, synchronicity, and spiritual fulfillment, the track is set for release on 03/17 on Emerald City alongside remixes from house stalwart MK and buzzing producer Detlef.

When rock singer/songwriter/guitarist David Haerle saw a first cut of his video for his new single, “Women Make the World Go ‘Round,’ he teared up.

But, these weren’t tears of some egotistical artist full of himself over a catchy song and cool video. These were the tears of an artist truly moved by a monumentally historical event – the Women’s March in Downtown Los Angeles on January 21 where more than 750,000 men and women marched for women’s rights.
