A recent Goldsmiths University graduate (Blur, James Blake); the Brazilian born composer united forces with a multi-cultured live band that originates from Germany, Italy and Czech Republic. Kenny Chesney and CMA Match Funds to Aid Families Devastated by Recent Fires in East TN

2016 CMA Pinnacle Award winner Kenny Chesney and CMA are combining resources to aid families devastated by recent wildfires in Gatlinburg, Tenn. The wildfires were responsible for 14 deaths and more than 2,400 homes and business that were damaged or destroyed.

A native of East Tennessee, Chesney has been a vocal and ardent supporter of the ongoing relief effort.

“Growing up in East Tennessee, the only thing greater than the beauty of the region is the heart of the people who live there,” said Chesney, a four-time CMA Entertainer of the Year. “It is devastating to think of what’s been lost in terms of the fire, but overwhelming for the families facing rebuilding their lives – in many cases – from scratch. I’m appreciative that CMA shares my hope that these families can feel our love at a time of such tragedy.”

Bear’s Den debuts new track “Berlin”

Acclaimed U.K. band Bear’s Den debuts their new wintery track “Berlin,” which was recorded last month with the bands longtime producer Ian Grimble. The Micronaut Shares New Album

Today, December 9th, 2016, The Micronaut shares his third studio album Forms. Released on Acker Records, one of Germany’s leading independent electronic labels, Forms is a mix of electronica, IDM and pop, a fluttering, heady explosion of colorful sounds with a melancholic edge of plaintive clarity.

The Micronaut is a German multi-instrumentalist and producer Stefan Streck. With his broken bass rhythms and catchy melodies, The Micronaut is a one-man orchestra. Tracks narrate with no need for speech, resembling a collage of electronica, samples, and live guitar. Riffs evolve and are passed to synthesizer keys, note by note. A peculiar dynamic arises – a merging.

The band say of the track, “‘Broken Light’ is one of our more recent tunes and was written after both of us had just become fathers for the first time. I don’t think we were aware of it at the time but on reflection it seems to be a real piece of that experience and the whole new aspect of life it offers up. We had also been doing a bit of film scoring by then and it definitely affected the way we wrote – using the synths more as sound design as the rhythmic engine or skeleton of the track and building a song and arrangement within that.”

Five-piece nu metal grunge band Versus is gearing up for the release of their forthcoming debut full-length, The Cardinal in early 2017 which will be released via Revival Recordings.
