Astari Nite’s song “The Boy Who Tried” is featured in the movie The Everglades Killings

Astari Nite is delighted to announce the featuring of their track “The Boy Who Tried” in the movie The Everglades Killings, directed by Ben Wilder. The movie premiered last week in NYC at the Cinepolis Chelsea Theater 8 @ the famous New York City Horror Film festival.

A quick glimpse of the synopsis of the movie says this much:

“Known for hundreds of years as an impenetrable, gator-infested insect hatchery, the Florida Everglades distinctly offers mankind a thousand different ways to die. Add a serial murderer to the mix of pythons, gators, panthers, and jurassic sized disease-carrying insects – and you’re easily left with America’s most dangerous park. So when ten college students trade in their beach plans for reptiles and mosquitos – they quickly learn the term ‘hopeless’ has a whole new meaning.”

We quickly gravitated towards the simple idea of following the story in the lyrics… We wanted to capture the feeling that everyone has felt at least once at the end of a big night. We wanted to reproduce those times where you want to keep the night going, and preferably with someone else riding that same wave as you. When it’s done right it can be magical…To make it lighter and truly show everyone how we see the story, we decided to use physical dog actors instead of humans. Deep down inside we’re all dogs.
