Disciples join Gorgon City on their UK Tour Next Month

After a relentless touring schedule throughout the summer and a US tour under their belts, Disciples will be returning to home soil in October for a UK tour, supporting electronic music duo, Gorgon City. Leading up to the tour, they’ll be playing at Apple Music Festival at The Roundhouse on Friday 23rd September, alongside Calvin Harris.

Kicking off in Glasgow on the 12th October, the South London trio will work their way across the country with dates in Manchester, Liverpool, Norwich, Newcastle, Nottingham, London and ending the tour in Birmingham. With two significant dates in tow – a homecoming show at London’s Brixton Academy and a coveted set at the infamous Warehouse Project in Manchester, the South London trio are set to finish 2016 on a high note.

Billy Ray Cyrus Releases New Video “Thin Line”

Billy Ray Cyrus has released a music video for his current single, “Thin Line,” through an exclusive worldwide co-premiere with Vevo and CMT.
“Thin Line” is now available on Vevo.com, on CMT every hour during morning music blocks (5-10 a.m.), and every other hour on CMT Music. Starting Sept. 23, the video will be released to a panel of national, syndicated, closed circuit, Internet and regional outlets.

“Thin Line” was shot entirely on Cyrus’ expansive property in Middle Tenn. by director Blake Judd (Black Stone Cherry, Shooter Jennings, Thomas Rhett) and exposes faith, passion, and the power of music through Cyrus’ perspective. The music video offers viewers a peek into Cyrus’ southern home as he wanders through the spaces that flood with memories and the prized possessions in which inspire him—including a handwritten note from Johnny Cash in 1992.

NASCAR Foundation to Donate $1 Million to NYU Langone Medical Center

The NASCAR Foundation will donate $1 million to NYU Langone Medical Center, as part of a multi-year partnership to benefit hospitalized children. Through this partnership, The NASCAR Foundation will enhance the Child Life Program at the Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital of New York at NYU Langone.

The partnership will be commemorated at the first-ever NASCAR Foundation Honors Gala taking place at The Marriott Marquis in New York on Sept. 27.

This is The NASCAR Foundation’s first multi-year partnership with a New York area hospital and marks its commitment to reach more kids nationally. NASCAR’s charitable arm has donated $25 million and impacted more than one million children since its inception in 2006.

COUNTRY LEGEND GARY MORRIS TO BE INDUCTED INTO THE COLORADO COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME

Legendary country crooner Gary Morris has been named as the newest inductee into the Colorado Country Music Hall of Fame. Morris joins country music icon Loretta Lynn, John Denver, Doug Kershaw and Johnny Paycheck, who are among recent inductees.

“I am honored and humbled to be one of this year’s inductees into the Hall,” states Morris. “There is so much incredible talent in Colorado. I’m glad an organization like this exists to help promote music education in schools so we can develop the next generation of country artists.”

Morris will headline an induction concert scheduled for Sunday, October 16 at 2:00 pm at Dougie G’s Lounge & Showroom in Thornton, Colorado.

Mansell romanticize single life and new love on indie rock track “A Love Immodest”

The Atlanta-based three piece, Mansell has announced that their debut LP Mantra will be released on November 11th. Today, band is streaming the first single “A Love Immodest” via Soundcloud. Tonally, the track’s drums and sounds are inspired by early 70’s recordings and were tracked mostly live by the young band. The ethereal, bass driven indie-rock song is about the journey of choices people make within and outside of a relationship, both in a physical and cerebral sense.

A mysterious veteran DJ/producer duo hailing from North & South America have appeared on the scene under the guise TRUST.ME and have immediately been snapped up by the FUTURETRXX label, a subsidiary of TRXX RECORDS, who have something of a nack for unearthing Future House gems. The twosome, both born in the 80’s and raised on a diet of Kool & The Gang, Jamiroquai and Sega computer game consoles, are attempting to incorporate the old school vibes of their youth into a very up-to-date interpretation of House music. By combining elements of Hip Hop, Disco and Nu Disco, it’s clear they’re succeeding with their debut track, ‘Hold On’; an impressive introduction indeed.

KROY’s “Learn” Is An Electro-Pop Ode To Courage

Hosted by Jason King, the co-founder of The Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at New York University, the episode provides rare insight on Hamilton’s technique for producing music. The show also highlights the North Carolina native’s personal background and discusses how race, family and the music of his childhood shapes his artistic approach.

Famed Musicians @ Symphony Hall Boston to remember Holocaust

Internationally renowned virtuoso pianist Garrick Ohlsson headlines the Monday, October 31 gala concert at Boston’s Symphony Hall that marks Terezín Music Foundation’s twenty-fifth year of concerts, commissions, and education programs honoring the composers imprisoned at Terezín, the infamous Nazi show camp. Mr. Ohlsson will perform the North American premiere of Slovak composer Lubica Cekovska’s acclaimed “Four Movements for Piano,” a TMF commission he debuted to standing ovations in Jerusalem and Prague. André Previn shares the spotlight: to mark the international release of the TMF CD “Previn Plays Previn,” BSO clarinetist Thomas Martin and the Hawthorne String Quartet will perform the Maestro’s TMF commission, his Quintet for Clarinet and String Quartet. ON the CD are the live premieres of that piece and Previn’s Sonata for Clarinet and Piano, with the Maestro at the keyboard. BSO members will also perform the chamber piece ‘Why Does the Black Man Sit in the Back of the Bus?” by Karel Svenk, a main figure in Terezín’s legendary cabaret. TMF strives to challenge artistic oppression in contemporary settings worldwide: the concert also offers the world premiere of composer Stephen Feigenbaum’s setting of two TMF-commissioned poems in its international Liberation anthology (Beacon Press, 2015), by former U.S. Poet Laureate Rita Dove and Israeli Druze poet Salman Masalha. The piece is composed for and will be debuted by members of the Boston Community Gospel Choir led by Brother Dennis Slaughter.
