Music Industry’s Latest Piracy Threat: Stream Ripping

That practice, which involves turning a song or music video played on a streaming service into a permanent download, is growing fast among young music fans, even as other forms of music piracy wane. The site’s community manager didn’t respond to requests for comment.

Normally known for their more progressive pop-rock stylings, the band toned down for the Dave Caggiano at Betamax Artist Development produced track which features members of the group singing along with their children.

“The song is all about diversity, and acceptance. It explores the reality of our differences. We all look differently on the outside, such as different hair color, skin color, and eye color. We even like different things. That’s not what’s most important” says Tara Eberle-Drouin, Bass player and vocalist for the group. She continues “If you look at who we truly are, at our core, we are all the same. We need to spread this message to children, and to the world- especially now, when everyone is taking sides politically, and religiously. We are a multicultural world. Our differences on the outside make us unique, but our hearts need to be unified because we are all one race, the human race”. Eberle-Drouin, a teacher by trade, also notes her work in a multicultural setting with setting a positive example to children about acceptance of our differences.
