WALLACE releases visuals for Frida Kahlo inspired “Negroni Eyes”

After an impressive debut year in 2015, future-soul singer Wallace is back with her first music video for Frida Kahlo inspired “Negroni Eyes”. The audio, produced by Adventures of Godriguez (Sampa The Great), has been given a fresh visual directed by Gregoire Liere and filmed by Sean Dooley.

WALLACE is a multitalented, multifaceted artist who designs all her own artwork and imagery associated with her music. She took a very hands-on approach with the production of this music video including including playing a key role in making decisions from everything from the location, to her outfit and the color spectrum.

Four time GRAMMY award-winning hip hop icon Lil Wayne is set to bring the second annual Lil’ Weezyana Festival to his hometown of New Orleans, LA in partnership with New Orleans’ radio station Q93 & Morris Bart, Esq., on Saturday, August 27th. The one-evening event hosted by Karen Civil and Q93 will include a special performance from ColleGrove – the massive collaborative project between Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz, Yo Gotti, Mystikal, Migos and more. Stream Band Aparte’s debut album via Impose

From down the end of Los Angeles, the barebones gravepunk duo Band Aparte strips down and combines elements of gothic rock, synthpunk, and beachy lo-fi as macabre appreciation simmers in the gut of the city. Vocalist Brian Mendoza effortlessly channels Joy Division and Nick Cave, crooning into a death bouquet with his shirt unbuttoned. But he’s not doing it to imitate Morrissey’s aesthetic — Band Aparte’s shows are fast and fierce, and the crowd works up a sweat at every venue they play.


Today, Coldplay revealed the video for “A Head Full Of Dreams,” the title track from their new hit album.

The video was filmed in Mexico City in April during the band’s sold-out Latin American stadium tour. Directed by Marcus Haney and shot predominantly on Super 8mm film, it features the band members cycling to their show at the city’s Foro Sol venue, where they set a new attendance record. The video begins with Charlie Chaplin’s speech from The Great Dictator, which also opens the band’s live show.

Vansire Premieres “Pontchartrain” on My Old Kentucky Blog

Vansire was created by Josh Augustin and Sam Winemiller in the summer of 2015. The two had just finished their junior and senior year of high school, respectively, having spent most of high school playing together in many settings. Their first musical interaction was on their school’s drumline in their pep band, and they went on to play in the school’s symphonic winds band, pit orchestras, and jazz band.
