WEATHERS PREMIERE MUSIC VIDEO FOR “HAPPY PILLS” ON VEVO

Today, Los Angeles-based band, Weathers, premiered the music video for their latest single, “Happy Pills” on VEVO. Clearly pictured in the video, the darkly tinged, guitar-driven alt-rock song is about taking physical or metaphysical “Happy Pills” for a an easy fix, which stems from the idea that our culture has become too quick to prescribe pills to settle whatever ailments people of all ages may have, but these prescriptions may not actually be solving anyone’s problems. Additionally, Weathers’ latest single “Happy Pills” is No. 1 Added at Alternative Radio. This marks the highest total adds so far this decade for a brand new artist at the alternative format.

Well$ “’98 Juvie (Remix)” ft. Deniro Farrar

With tongue-twisting rhymes and a authoritative bark that belies his age, North Carolina’s Well$ brings a fierce energy to his songs and videos. In the video for “’98 Juvie (Remix),” the 21-year-old rapper recruits fellow Charlotte emcee Deniro Farrar for a tour of Charlotte’s less-frequented spots, including abandoned warehouses, project streets, and even a graveyard. Well$ and Farrar pay homage to Juvenile, as they trade aggressive, region-specific rhymes over Sipho The Gift’s booming symphony of dramatic strings, skittering hi-hats, operatic vox, and marimba. “’98 Juvie (Remix)” is the first single from the Immaculate Taste artist’s forthcoming mixtape The Way I’m Living Makes My Mom Nervous. The follow-up to 2014’s acclaimed MTSYD: The Revenge of the African Booty Scratcher, TWILMMMN comes out later this summer.

Crobot are pleased to unveil their latest song off their new record, “Welcome to Fat City” premiering exclusively on Consequence of Sound. “‘Welcome to Fat City, the title track from our latest album, sets precedent for the groove-laden riffage that takes place throughout the album,” frontman Brandon Yeagley explained to Consequence of Sound. “Inspired by Hunter S Thompson’s campaign for Sheriff of Aspen, Fat City is a planet of sanctuary for the scum of the universe and cigar-smoking big wigs Hunter hoped to keep out of his fine city. Instead, we welcome them with open arms ’cause down here, it’s always gritty. Step right up Beardos and Welcome to Fat City!”

Arab-American bridges ethnic gap with infectious single

The first Arab to be nominated at the Los Angeles Music Awards in 2007, then winning two songwriting awards in 2008, Arab-American Emad Alaeddin saw breakout success with his first release, “Sunshine,” which received heavy rotation on MTV Arabia, and covered the radio waves of Jordan and the internet, resulting in several notable features including on the cover of UMen Magazine in 2011, and in the prestigious Rolling Stone Magazine. However, his time in LA was cut short when he was called to Jordan to be with his family. Though initially very successful, his family business had encountered unexpected turbulence, resulting in a complete fold of the company. All was lost.

LEAF “MONEY (TROYBOI REMIX)”

London producer TroyBoi flipped the beat world upside down with awesomely wonky original tracks, collabs with Flosstradamus and Diplo, and official remixes that have blasted pop royalty from Missy Elliot to Zayn into outer space.

This fall Imperial State Electric are back with their new album: “All Through The Night”.

The band, with Nicke Andersson as its driving force, has toured constantly since the release of last years critically acclaimed “Honk Machine” (August 2015), and the expectations for this autumns release are set sky high.

The limited time period between “Honk Machine” and “All Through The Night” poses the question, and rightly so, how has the band found time and creativity to record yet another album? Nicke’s answer is clear: “We play rock ‘n’ roll music, if it takes four years to make a rock ‘n’ roll record then you have most likely over analysed an art form that is more about gut instinct. It should feel and this record feels good.”

Jarryd James’ Scandalous Video for Broods-Assisted ‘1000x’

By the time Jarryd James’ music video for “1000x” begins, we know something’s gone horribly wrong. Crickets chirp as a seemingly distraught woman slams her hands on the wooden siding of a house and then the song plays. “I wanted there to be an element of darkness to the video that would contrast the nature of the lyrics,” James explained.

Speaking about the video, the band says, “We felt Eliot (the director) had perfectly captured the mood of the song with the free flow of images and focus on intricate movements. And even though he spread the performances across the screen, mostly separating the band from each other, it’s clear he’s somehow captured the strength of our unit and our closeness.”
