JONAS BLUE ‘FAST CAR’ FT DAKOTA IS #1 ON UK ITUNES

Up-and-coming, London based producer, Jonas Blue has released a dramatic reimaging of Tracy Chapman’s classic song ‘Fast Car’. Teaming up with incredible young vocal talent, Dakota, Blue has swapped the original’s lilting guitar for an upbeat tropical house sound – and now he’s ready to unveil the official video.

Set in the dusty, sand planes of the US midwest, the visual focuses on the classic story of boy meets girl, as an epic race across the dunes develops. After crashing her motorbike, one of the men, all of whom were trying to keep up on horseback, takes it upon himself to go to her aid. The two then spend the night under the stars in the desert, tapping into bohemian themes of freedom and love, before one last twist ensures adds to the hazy, dream-like nature of the video itself.

Melodic heavy metal band Patterns of Decay have released the official music video for their track entitled “A Fool’s Guide For Selling Your Soul”, from their freshman EP Malicious Intent.

Our debut EP: Malicious Intent, is born of the collaboration of five misfits who never found a true home in the “scene”. It is a mission statement that elaborates upon the sentiment that doing what you love is the only way to find true happiness, regardless of what others may think. The songs therein are written by us and for us. We aren’t looking to “break the mold” with our music, but rather, tell the truth. We are showing you what we are, as well as what we might become. If you happen to enjoy the music, well, that’s just icing on the bong. – Matthew Stirrat (Guitar/Clean Vocals)

TINY DEATHS “EVER” VIDEO PREMIERE VIA BITCH MAGAZINE

“We really wanted to focus more on imagery than narrative for this piece, to set a tone rather than tell a linear story,” says de Lune of the video. “I love the idea of contrasting delicate, beautiful things with an overall sense of melancholy, which is really what the song ‘Ever’ is about. It sounds light and airy but the song is about going into a relationship knowing it was doomed from the beginning. Nothing represents a relationship better than a flower to me, which is why that symbolism is all over not only this video but also the EP as a whole. The idea of something blossoming, but being impermanent–and how we are obsessed with trying to keep it alive instead of just finding the beauty in its impermanent nature, is a concept that really resonates with me and something I wanted to get across in the video.”

WILDCAT! WILDCAT! NEW SINGLE

Wildcat! Wildcat! decided to take 2015 off from touring to begin writing and recording new songs. They plan to independently release individual tracks for free over the course of 2016.

“We’ve been lucky to have learned so much over the past couple years,” says the duo. “So after putting out a full album in 2014, we wanted to get back to how we started, by releasing songs individually along with its own artwork. We have thrown ourselves into our work spending a lot of time in getting it right so it seems natural to let the songs breathe a little. We couldn’t be more thankful to our fans who have supported us and been waiting for new music for over a year. Our music belongs as much to them as it does to us, and from the beginning it’s always felt like we somehow become a part of what our fans have reflected back to us in the way they listen and respond. That kind of bond is really something special to be a part of so we are definitely looking forward to this next chapter with them.”

The song emanates Jayceeoh’s clear mastery in genre blending, between the heavy synths and aggressive trap drops, don’t be surprised when the ground starts to shake beneath your very feet.

TIGGS DA AUTHOR “RUN” VIDEO

If Tiggs Da Author’s latest offering ‘Run’ sounds familiar, that may be because he debuted it on Later With Jools late last year, it’s also included on FIFA 16 and it was also the soundbed for ITV’s 2015 Rugby World Cup trailer. The track, featuring Lady Leshurr, is available now and will impact on 26th Feb.

Following on from his debut single ‘Georgia’ which has amassed over 1.3million streams on Spotify (and growing!), ‘Run’ is fresh, full of energy and full of Tiggs’ distinctive style reminiscent of Ray Charles, Finlay Quaye and Andre 3000 – yet he still continues to sound unlike anything you’ve heard before.

Tiggs said of the track: “The song is about escaping your troubles and just getting away from certain situations and not letting life’s little dramas bring you down. Sometimes it’s better to just run! It’s always great to collaborate with an amazing artist like Lady Leshurr but it’s even better when you’re friends. We’ve known each other for a long time and she nailed it.”
