STURMOVIK “MATTER’S NOT” SINGLE

STURMOVIK contains two current members of Polish death metal horde, The Dead Goats — Radosław Pierściński and Paweł Bartulewicz — the lineup rounded out by Błazej Kasprzak, Mariusz Rzepnicki and Krzysztof Drabikowski. The caustic d-beat/crustpunk attack the outfit delivers will definitely appeal to all fans of Disfear, Wolfbrigade, Genocide SS, Victims, Hellshock and Martyrdöd. PROMISE & THE MONSTER NEW SINGLE

In conjunction with the news of their signing to Bella Union, Stockholm band Promise & the Monster have announced their third album Feed The Fire out January 22nd. In addition to these exciting announcements they have also shared the first track ‘Time of the Season.’ The track—eerie and evocative—pulses along, guided in tandem by moody arrangements and the ghostly resonance of front woman Billie Lindalhl’s voice. The band has expressed that “when we recorded (Time Of The Season) we talked about making it sound like ABBA if they where an early 80’s goth band.” And, really, this melding of sixties/seventies-era pop with shadowy undertones is definitive of the standout showing they’ve put forth with Feed The Fire.

BILLY SHERWOOD NEW SONG

n writing the song, “The Citizen,” Billy Sherwood’s main goal was to set up his concept album, CITIZEN, about a lost soul reincarnated in different eras. Almost modeling the album’s opening after the beginning scroll of the movie STAR WARS, he wanted the lyrics show how one thing could change the course of history. “I think people need to listen to the album once, and then start again with the song ‘The Citizen’ as it shows that the guy has already been there throughout history.”

Billy’s aware that the song “The Citizen” can also stand on its own, and—thus—be interpreted in other ways including the responsibility of citizens being informed. “That is the cool thing about music, people can read a lot of things into it. It shows how the music relates to the listener.”

ROCKS FOE NEW SINGLE

Info on Croydon’s shadowy firespitter & beat sculptor Rocks FOE is scarce. He poses a unique combination attack, with a rap style that combines the catch-all hooks of grime with the sheer lyrical dominance of classic US rappers like Pharaohe Monch & GZA.

Beginning his path into music production and emceeing around 12 years old with the help of a Dance Ejay 4, 22 year old Rocks FOE takes the suburbs sharp edge and blunt approach alongside a mixture of influences from video game composers like Final Fantasy soundtrack creator Nobuo Uematsu and Street Fighter II’s Yoko Shimomura to UK grime legends like Wiley and Dizzee Rascal.

TWELVE24 NEW SINGLE

Twelve24’s music has scored comparisons to Macklemore (for their deep lyrical content and independence) and Calvin Harris (for their euphoric dance style). But ultimately, the band’s sound is entirely their own. They are fiercely protective of their artistic vision, writing and producing all of their tracks themselves, with the help of a close team of studio collaborators. LISTEN TO LNDN DRGS WEST COAST JAM “SUSAN”

LNDN DRGS is the Cali rap you need RIGHT NOW. The slowed samples and house party vibes of Bompton rapper Jay Worthy and Vancouver producer Sean House might conjure G-Funk classics of old, but this ain’t a DeLorean on Daytons. Mentored by the late A$AP Yams, LNDN DRGS have pulled from generations of game to make modern day slaps all their own.

ASTR NEW SINGLE

It always feels like dusk when you listen to ASTR. Sometimes they take you to an after-afterparty on the Dead Sea. Sometimes they’ll find you alone somewhere in Iceland, lowering yourself into a natural hot spring. Wherever their music takes you, the sun just slipped under the horizon. The light is perfect and you’re probably near water. New York City’s ASTR is a two-person constellation: Zoe Anna on vocals and Adam Pallin handling production. After meeting in a Manhattan yoga studio, they started writing music together. Soon enough, with a shared love of deep house, 90s hip-hop, film noir and R&B, ASTR was born.

NICO & VINZ RETURN WITH NEW 5-TRACK EP

Norwegian singing and songwriting duo Nico & Vinz are back with a new EP entitled Cornerstone available on November 6th. The five-track EP will serve as an appetizer for a full-length project out in 2016 which showcases the 24-year old’s growth and progress since they broke out with their global hit “Am I Wrong.”

“The sounds out there right now show us that there’s no real formula anymore, that it’s ok to play around with sounds and moods. So we wrote a lot of songs based on things we enjoy listening and performing to and put that on the project,” explains Nico on the inspiration behind the eclectic mix. “We represent this new generation that is genre-blind but connects with songs they feel, like love and struggle. The moment captured in this EP is a reflection on those feelings and experiences.”

FOREIGN DIPLOMATS PREMIER CHILLING NEW VIDEO ‘LIES (OF NOVEMBER)’

Produced by Brian Deck (Modest Mouse, The Shins, Counting Crows), the track echoes “the exasperation and impatience felt towards a situation in front of which you are truly powerless” explains frontman Elie Raymond. “It is very intense in the mood and in the lyrics” he adds, “even in the construction of the song itself” which ends with a fitting antithesis.
