OAKLAND METAL ARTIST MAKES ELECTRO-RAP ON NEW LP ‘CUT’

cutlp1_phixr

After years of penning songs for the Oakland thrash metal group Survival, Nick Noro is paying homage to the east bay’s legacy of hip-hop with his self-released new album, Cut. Brandishing an eccentric lyrical style somewhere between Too $hort and Iceberg Slim–and a production style that’s strays from rap to 80s rock–the 10 track album will be available digitally on November 10, 2015.

Raised in the Bay Area, Noro started his career in his 20’s by touring as a guitarist for Hellcat artist Static Thought, appearing at music festivals such as Reading and Leeds festivals. His aggressive records have garnered notoriety from magazines like Zero Tolerance, and Death-metal.org.
