Japanese rock band ONE OK ROCK have been one of Tokyo’s best kept secrets for years until…now. Tix for the band’s upcoming first full U.S. tour went on sale in early July with the first of four shows set as headliners in theaters. RACCOON FIGHTER PREMIERE VIDEO FOR “15 MINUTES”
Raccoon Fighter returned to their South Jersey hometown to record above drummer Zac Ciancaglini’s parent’s garage on a Tascam Portastudio 4-track cassette recorder, taking the tracks to Brian Thorn (David Bowie/Smith Westerns), who worked with the band on their 2013 album Zil, to mix.
San Antonio death metal deviants, ABHORRENT, will untether their debut full-length this November via Willowtip Records. Titled Intransigence, the ten track cranium crusher was engineered, mixed and mastered by Mike Garrison at Sound Crater Recording with guitar and bass reamps by Greg Tomao at The Tomato Farm Studio and includes guest appearances by the Trevor Strnad (The Black Dahlia Murder), Matthew “Chalky” Chalk (Mephistopheles, ex-Psycroptic), Malcolm Pugh (Inferi, A Loathing Requiem) and Antonio Ascencio (Serocs).

DNC ANNOUNCES BETTY WHO TO PERFORM AT LGBT GALA
Today, the Democratic National Committee is proud to announce that acclaimed singer-songwriter Betty Who will be the featured performer at the DNC’s annual LGBT Gala fundraiser in New York City on September 27, 2015, joining President Obama who will headline the event.
“I’m thrilled and honored to perform for President Obama and his supporters, especially on a night focused on the LGBT community,” said Betty Who. “We’ve accomplished so much the last few years when it comes to equality, but there’s still a lot of work to be done. I’m excited and proud to help support LGBT rights in any way I can.”

Nashville natives THE CADILLAC THREE rallied Saturday night at The Cannery Ballroom for an epic hometown show, which sold out in less than one week. During the raging headline concert, Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler joined the trio on stage for “Sweet Emotion.” The iconic songwriter and prolific singer, who was introduced as the reason TC3 wanted to be musicians, proved the admiration was mutual when he revealed a shirt announcing he was the newest member of The Cadillac 4.
THE DEAD SHIPS NEW SINGLE
Los Angeles based trio, The Dead Ships share the video for “Tomorrows Crashes” off EP I and announce a string of dates with The Mynabirds, including an appearance at the Los Angeles stop of Culture Collide.
The closing song off EP I, “Tomorrows Crashes” is The Dead Ships’ homage to the come down song, chronicling those dark moments after a really long bender and what lead singer, Devlin McCluskey claims is like, “waking up surrounded by still-drunk-strangers with all the color gone from their faces and you just want to run because something bad happened and something worse is coming.”
AMERICAN SONGWRITER PREMIERES DANIEL’S NEW TRACK “ON OUR WAY HOME”
“Our golden age is here,” Daniel Martin Moore sings on the title track of his latest offering, and he could easily be singing about his own career. Moore has steadily gained a following as one of our most emotive and haunting singers since his acclaimed debut back in 2008. Those deeply moving vocals are pushed to new heights on Golden Age, which he coproduced with Jim James of My Morning Jacket.
The album is also a whole new sound for Moore. Known for his meditative singing and guitar-driven melodies, Golden Age manages to hold onto that calming element while also giving Moore a more upbeat quality on a larger canvas.
THE MARLENES “CAKEWALK”
The Marlenes are a 3-piece band, formed from high school friends in 2014 on the Mornington Peninsula. They bring to the table a Lo-Fi Garage Rock genre of their own, drawing inspiration from bands like The Wailers, The Strokes, and The Hives, as well as sounds from 60’s soul and ska. Their sound is combination of rhythmic ska guitars, catchy lead hooks, jumpy bass lines and thumping garage drums.
They are currently playing local gigs throughout the suburbs of Melbourne and have recently recorded their debut EP Jumpin’ Cliffs at Headgap studios in January 2015.
DONNIE FRITTS NEW SINGLE
On October 9, Muscle Shoals legend Donnie Fritts will release a new album, Oh My Goodness through the Florence, Alabama-based Single Lock Records (Steelism, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Dylan LeBlanc). The album is the first to be produced by John Paul White, formerly of the Grammy-wining duo The Civil Wars, along with Ben Tanner of the Alabama Shakes. Oh My Goodness features an all-star cast of contributors including Brittany Howard of The Alabama Shakes, Jason Isbell, John Prine, Amanda Shires, The Secret Sisters, Spooner Oldham and many more.
Recently, Rolling Stone premiered the song “If It’s Really Gotta Be This Way” and said “Oh My Goodness is Fritts’ chance to say that the musical power of Muscle Shoals is not found in some singing river – it’s in people like him.”
REVI SELLS OUT IN NYC

The MuseBox today announced the premiere of “Look at Miss Ohio” a striking new video from neo-folk sensation Marta Pacek. According to The Revue, Canada’s Pacek “transports listeners to the sounds of Lucinda Williams, Anne Murray, and Patsy Cline.” The video for “Look at Miss Ohio” as well as for “Sometimes You Lose” and “The Hunted,” which The Revue calls a “gorgeous, haunting tune that echoes of The Heartless Bastards,” come as Pacek prepares to tour the United States and Canada this September in support of her most recent album, Voodoo Dolls and False Alarms. SWERVE SINGLE “EVERYTHING”
Swerve is the creation of Los Angeles based songwriter Gregory Mahdesian. Officially formed in early 2015 with drummer Casey Baird, guitarist Ryan Berti, and bassist Brandon Duncan, Swerve went through a few incarnations before finalizing the line-up. Music was a lifelong pursuit of Gregory’s and some of the first Swerve songs started coming together as early as 2011 – locked in a downtown loft in his early 20’s contemplating whether anyone even cared about guitar music anymore.

Working with the likes of RossOD, Embody & The Cxde he is now ready to release his blend of hip-hop infused soul in the form of his first single ‘Cold Love’.
The new single “Weak” first premiered yesterday as Apple Music’s Beats 1 ‘World First’ with Zane Lowe. “Weak” is a lush, poetic song that showcases lead singer, Kelly Zutrau’s haunting vocals. For this track, Wet was joined by several musicians including Nat Baldwin of The Dirty Projectors (upright bass), Kelsey Lu McJunkins (cello) and Marques Toliver (violin). Indicative of Wet’s archetypal ability to meld the personal and universal, “Weak” is among 11 tracks on the upcoming debut effort, Don’t You. The album was recorded in a rented house in the wooded confines of Hadley, Massachusetts where the band’s songwriter/vocalist Kelly Zutrau (a Boston native) attended summer camp as a child.
