DOPAPOD ANNOUNCES THE BALL DROP NEW YEARS EVE SHOW
Progressive groove quartet Dopapod is elated to announce they will once again ring in the New Year at the Worcester Palladium. Dubbed The Ball Drop, the event will also feature Turkuaz & Kung Fu and is presented by Live For Live Music & Disc Jam. With all three bands being long-time friends and no strangers to collaborating, the evening is set to be an exciting night of music.
The Ball Drop will come as Dopapod wraps up a massive fall and winter tour with the soul-funk quintet, The Nth Power. This four-month run kicks off this Friday, September 18 at the Catskill Chill, which will find Dopapod & Turkuaz joining forces to form DopaKuaz. The two bands will be playing a special Studio 54 set together celebrating the music of the legendary disco era. This is anticipated to be the dance party of the weekend in honor of the festival’s final year being held at Camp Minglewood.
GWENNO NEW VIDEO
Following the recent release of her debut album Y Dydd Olaf on Heavenly Recordings, Welsh musician Gwenno has premiered the video for track ‘Patriarchaeth’ via NPR. The video-designed by Ian Watson- sees a Technicolor kaleidoscope of Gwenno imagery that’s warped and distorted into a spacy, psychedelic daydream. Juxtaposed by conscious themes of social and gender oppression, Gwenno rounds out all manifestations of her art in a singular and unexpected way.
In a period of governmental and cultural transition, former The Pipettes front-woman, GWENNO SAUNDERS has released a political concept album inspired by an obscure 1970s Welsh language sci-fi novel, subtly disguised as a blissful kraut-pop record.

WOLF EYES NEW “T.O.D.D.”
Post-industrial/noise group Wolf Eyes have signed to Third Man Records, and are set to release their new album ‘I Am A Problem: Mind In Pieces’ on October 30. This week the band shares album track “T.O.D.D.”, named after Tod Dockstader, Musique Concrete composer who passed during the album’s recording.

TOM KILLNER DEBUT ALBUM

Last night Selena Gomez hosted a once in a lifetime “Revival” fan event at Los Angele’s Palace Theatre.
Fans entered to win an opportunity to partake in a once in a lifetime fan experience. Details of the event were kept to a minimum. Once seated, fans were treated to what they thought was an advanced screening of her new video “Same Old Love.” Selena proceeded to announce that only one element of the cinematic video was missing and she needed their involvement. Fans were ecstatic to learn that they were being incorporated into the actual video.

Wilco’s dBpm Records will release a limited edition marbled green vinyl 7” of “Random Name Generator,” the first single from the band’s Star Wars album, on October 2. A live acoustic version of “Bull Black Nova,” recorded at the Solid Sound Festival in June, is featured on the flip side. The single’s cover art is a photograph of Kusan Kampanile’s Tower of Musical Bells. KISHI BASHI ALBUM TRAILER
Following the release of his critically-acclaimed sophomore album Lighght earlier this year on Joyful Noise, Kishi Bashi has announced a special new release, due out on November 13th. Recorded live with string quartet, the new album — appropriately titled String Quartet Live! — consists of nine songs from both 151a and Lighght (and one Talking Heads cover!) performed live by K and an accompanying string ensemble.

Music icon Tim McGraw will release his highly-anticipated 14th studio album Damn Country Music on November 6, 2015, on Big Machine Records/McGraw Music. The record was produced by McGraw and trusted collaborator Byron Gallimore.
