A bit folk, a bit country, The Afternoon Edition have taken the best of both genres to create their own distinctive and personal sound. With their endearing lyrics and solid harmonies, the band appeals to a variety of listeners, including fans of classic acts such as The Band, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, The Byrds, and more. The trio, made up of brothers Connor and Shane Noetzel and friend Brian Gallio, released their debut EP “No One Will Know” in May 2013, and are currently preparing to release their first full-length album this summer. They released their first single “Canyon Lights” last month with Elmore Magazine, who stated that the band “has what it takes to go toe to toe with the Americana heavyweights that they love.”

Earlier this month JACK Ü (Skrillex & Diplo) invited fans to help create the video for ‘Where Are Ü Now’ with Justin Bieber at the Seventh Letter Gallery in Los Angeles. Attendees over that weekend were invited to draw on the walls that held still images of Justin dancing for this project which were then taken by the heralded directing duo known as Brewer to create this unique video. This is what Ü made; an early first look of the video ran this morning on Good Morning America and is out today on YouTube as well.

The murder of Freddie Gray while in police custody ignited the Baltimore Uprising in April. A new film uncovers deep-rooted economic issues that triggered thousands of frustrated residents to take to the streets. The documentary is part of a new series exploring racial and economic justice issues, produced for “The Laura Flanders Show,” and airing on TV stations across the US on Link TV and internationally on the TeleSUR News Network.
In the 20-minute documentary, “Baltimore: A Moment to a Movement,” award-winning journalist and filmmaker Jordan Flaherty looks beyond police brutality to unearth oppressive conditions that fueled the mass protests. Personal stories from Baltimore activists working on the front lines of the struggle reveal to viewers how homelessness, unemployment, economic inequality and despair caused residents to rebel once the news of Gray’s death went viral.
DURAN DURAN ANNOUNCE FULL DETAILS ON UPCOMING NEW ALBUM
Multi-platinum superstars Duran Duran have announced more details about their upcoming new studio album, Paper Gods, which will be released in the U.S. on September 18th and in the rest of the world on September 11th through Warner Bros. Records.

BEACH BABY RELEASE NEW SONG “U R”
The London-based band – who counts support slots with Jungle and Django Django among their first live shows – performed at the Great Escape, Field Day, and Bushstock festivals in the UK recently, and plays next at the Horn at St. Albans on July 23rd. Beach Baby will arrive stateside this fall to perform their debut US shows at the CMJ Music Marathon in October.

Breakout international pop star OMI has announced a handful of U.S. tour dates in support of his smash global hit “Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn remix).” The dates, which will mark OMI’s first performances in the U.S., kick off on July 15th in New York before crossing the country and making stops in Oakland and Los Angeles.

The song came together fast in a hit of inspiration. Within minutes the backbone for ‘Midnight’ was created. B+A played the track live at many gigs and festivals around Australia while recording and self-producing the track in places around Sydney from the sandy shores of the Northern Beaches to the nature surrounding acreage of the Hills. Bow and Arrow played all instruments on the track except violin, which was played by Eric Avery.
