Little Engine is the debut single from Australian contemporary folk and alternative pop artist, Cookie Baker.

Raised on a farm by the seaside in South Australia, Miss Cookie quietly, yet diligently, played live to her heart’s content for ten years, amassing a modest but dedicated following throughout Australia.

Supports and festival billings alongside such esteemed Australian artists as Augie March, Kate Miller-Heidke, The Audreys, Ben Lee, Little Birdy and Gossling showcased the charming effervescence, warm, yet haunting, melodies and cool wordsmithery she had refined over those years.

With a true love for ‘the present’ and the spontaneous, thrilling nature of live performance, it took Melbourne based Cookie Baker’s discovery of the folk, pop and country stylings of Sydney based producer and engineer, Michael Carpenter of Love Hz Studios to sow the seeds of what would become Little Engine.
