New Zealand’s ethereal dream-folk duo, French for Rabbits, have announced a surprise release of two re-interpretations of their song ‘The Other Side’.
The song, from their debut album Spirits was recently featured on US TV show The Vampire Diaries and has been described as “glowing with tenderness” and Brooke Singer’s voice as carrying a “wealth of emotion in her smoky, soft-spoken croon” (Consequences of Sound)
Anonymous US producer, PLAN, who previously released a remix their song ‘Claimed by the Sea’, has fleshed out the track with distinctive chill-wave production, and New Zealand-based atmospherist, Stray Theories, heart-wrenching interpretation builds to a peak with washing synth lines & weaving harmonies.
