Vocalist & songwriter Charm Taylor is excited to announce the release of her solo debut, The Road Within, a dynamic blend of futuristic soul and melodic hip-hop. Most people know Charm as the enchanting lead singer of the critically acclaimed rock n soul group, The Honorable South. With her latest project, Taylor—with the help of New Orleans producer Saint Rock—takes her Afro-future-soul to an otherworldly place. The 6 track EP will be available May 5, 2015.
Thematically, The Road Within is infused with old world mysticism, space, and beyond. “We were traveling through the land my great grandmother was born in when I started to record this album,” explains Taylor. “I began to trace my origins and was inspired by the stories I learned of my ancestors. I developed a deeper understanding of myself and have a renewed faith in the transformative power of music.”
