Van Wild is a Southern Blues-Rock-Pop musical project by half Canadian, half American singer-songwriter Yasmine Van Wilt. The debut EP “Van Wild” is a feel-good mix of catchy and lyrical love, social observation and protest songs inspired by Southern landscapes and stories.
Yasmine’s previous projects have reached #7 in the UK Music Week Charts, beating out Rihanna and Justin Bieber. The associated music videos also generated consistent play on major UK music TV channels. In 2013, EU funding allowed her to perform at a number of European cities. She has been awarded by numerous organizations including Disney. She has a Ph.D. in Creative Writing, is a published author and a classically trained actress and performance artist. Her work has been staged across the globe to critical acclaim.
