WIRE: NEW COURTNEY JAYE SINGLE AT AMERICAN SONGWRITER

Nashville chanteuse Courtney Jaye lost her battle with pop music while preparing her upcoming album “Love and Forgiveness” and it’s great news for music fans everywhere. “I’m done apologizing for writing big songs — I don’t want to be afraid of that,” says Nashville based singer/songwriter Courtney Jaye. “I’ve always wanted to find a way to not be afraid of pop,” she adds. “That’s the music I love.”

American Songwriter got in on the action, featuring “One Way Conversation” this week, a song Jay co-wrote with singer/songwriter Thad Cockrell of LEAGUES. Steeped in rhythms inspired by Levon Helm of The Band, Jaye belts the tune with sass and style, backed by an all star band that includes Neal Casal on guitar, Greg Leisz on pedal steel and Wallflowers percussionist Fred Eltringham on drums.
