Johnny D’s Uptown Restaurant and Music Club has just announced that SEE-I, America’s Premier Reggae Party Band featuring touring members of Thievery Corporation will be coming to Davis Sq in Somerville on April 11th with Boston electronic dance rock band Cougar Bait.
SEE-I is a Washington DC based reggae band formed by two brothers Rootz and Zeebo Steele. They moved to DC from North Carolina (by way of the Caribbean) in the late 80’s and quickly became fixtures in the thriving reggae scene of our nation’s capital. Throughout the 90’s and right up to today, the brothers Steele are touring members of Thievery Corporation. When not on the road with Thievery, they tour with SEE-I which has become one of America’s premier reggae party bands.
Cougar Bait is establishing themselves as one of Boston’s premier acts, bringing dance back to rock music, and EDM to live instrumentation. The band is gaining momentum by headlining New England’s hottest night clubs, including The Middle East, Tammany Hall, and Davis Square Theater. This will be their first Boston date since their SOLD OUT night at The Church of Boston in March. The band is featured in the current edition of Rock N Roll Industries Magazine available nationwide at all Guitar Center and select Barnes and Noble locations. Cougar Bait has also received active airplay for their latest singles “Lovecraft” and “Oh Oh Oh” on WAAF, WBCN, CBS Radio Network, Unregular Radio, NECN, and NEGB1 Radio.
