HOLDING ONTO HOPE TO RELEASE SELF-TITLED FULL LENGTH OCTOBER 4TH

Come&Live! just announced the October 4th release of Holding Onto Hope’s self-titled record. Showcasing their unique post-hardcore sound, the band dove into a slightly different songwriting process than previously — resulting in an energetic, relevant concept album. “Old Voids” is already streaming on their Facebook page.

Once most of the members finished writing the music, vocalist Anton Kellner proceeded to craft the lyrics. “I started to write about things that I was feeling at the time,” he recalls. “The entire record is about different topics, but all of them lead back to one — and that’s all about letting go.” The 10 track project’s outlook on life is split directly down the middle. The first five songs portray a dark, desolate time in life. “It’s about being haunted by the past, not believing and not knowing God,” Kellner shares. The album makes a u-turn starting with the sixth song. The lyrics speak of not allowing the past to hold you down, breaking free and truly letting go. “I didn’t want to write traditional worship songs. I’m all about seeing the other side of things and that’s why we wanted to have a dark side and a hopeful side to the lyrics,” he continues.
